False Albacore and Striped Bass are moving targets. One minute they are crashing bait on the surface, the next they have dropped down or moved into a rip. Pop to Drop helps you unlock these fishing situations with three time tested patterns.
The Stealth Bomber works on the surface, waking, sliding, popping and diving. Fish destroy this fly when they eat it. The Bendback Minnow rides just underneath the surface, for the times fish will not commit to a topwater but are up high. Lastly, we will tie a Clouser Bendback Minnow whose lead eyes help it cast in the wind and get down to the fish holding deep. These three flies will help you catch fish all season long.
This is a hands-on class where you will learn the proper way to bend hooks, build weed guards, and add dumbbell eyes to your flies. All of these techniques you’ll be able to take over to other flies to make them durable fish catchers too.
Every tyer takes home a bottle of Zap-A-Gap, a one-year Trout Unlimited membership or a one-year extension, and a couple of flies tied by Allen as showpiece example to replicate at your own bench when you get back home. That's more than $60 in value on top of two hours of instruction. What a deal!
