Ordering Information

Orders may be placed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, on our secure website. Your order will be confirmed immediately via e-mail and will be processed in the order that it was received. Most will ship within 1 business day. All expedited orders placed on Monday-Friday before 4pm Eastern Standard Time, and 2pm on Saturday, will ship the same day (please refer to our hours of operation and shipping policies below).

Price Matching

We will gladly match the price of any product listed for less at another fly shop.

*Please note that our policy only applies to active listings for new, IN STOCK, products; discontinued items, Ebay listings, and unbranded products are excluded.

We do not match Sign-up promotions or 'blanket discounts' i.e. "sign-up and receive _% off your first order..." or "receive free___with purchase".

Domestic Shipping - USA

We offer FREE Standard shipping on orders over $50 *Excludes heavy/oversized items, sale items, and vintage tackle. FREE 2-Day shipping offered on select rods and reels.

Orders with Standard shipping will be sent via USPS Ground Advantage, UPS Ground Saver, or UPS Ground at a flat rate of $7.95. *Oversized items may be higher, calculated at checkout.

All orders are processed in the order they are received. By selecting Express shipping your order will move to next in line. All Express orders will ship on or within the next business day they are received (see hours above). True Next Day Delivery is available for non-oversized/heavy items at a flat rate of $49.95 (see days of operation above).

Our primary carriers are USPS and UPS, however, we are also able to ship via FedEx. If a particular shipping service is preferred from one of these 3 carriers please make a note when placing your order, and we will gladly accomodate your request. *Buyer pays any additional cost.

Please Note that actual transit times may vary from those listed at checkout: these are ESTIMATES and not guaranteed. If you require your items to be delivered by a certain date, please be sure to specify when placing your order. We will do our best to make sure that it reaches you in time but may need to adjust the shipping service if you have a specific deadline. International Orders/Shipping

We are happy to sell and ship items world-wide. All countries we ship to, as well as estimated transit times are listed at Checkout.

FREE Economy shipping is offered for orders over $395 *this excludes heavy/oversized items, sale items, and vintage tackle.

For all other orders, customers may choose between, Economy, Standard, and Express International shipping. Note: rods and other large or heavy items (over 2 lbs) are not eligible for Economy Shipping.

Economy orders ship via USPS First Class International (insured with NO Tracking). Standard orders via USPS Priority International or UPS Expedited (insured with tracking). Express orders ship via USPS Priority Express International or UPS Worldwide Express (insured with tracking). We reserve the right to choose the shipping carrier based on current rates. If a specific carrier/service is preferred, it must be noted when placing your order.

Please note that international parcels are subject to possible delays that are out of our control. The transit times listed at checkout are ESTIMATES and not guaranteed.

*The Bear's Den is not responsible for any taxes or fees levied by the customer's country. International customers are responsible for all import taxes and duties which may be collected by the carrier prior to the package being released from customs.

Returns & Exchanges

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE: If you are ever unsatisfied with a product purchased from the Bear's Den, for any reason, simply contact us for an Return Authorization within 10 days of receiving your order, and return the item(s) in “like-new” condition with the original packaging for a full refund, credit, or exchange.

TO MAKE A RETURN:
Please contact us prior to returning an item to receive a return authorization. An invoice or note should be included explaining the reason for the return and how you would like to be credited. Also be sure to include your name and phone number in case there are any questions. We will gladly issue a refund, credit, or exchange.

We cannot accept returns on items that have been used. Notification of returns should be made within 10 days. Returns made after 10 days and ANY non-stocked / special order items are subject to a 10-15% restocking fee. Prior authorization must be given before any return can be made. Please call 508-977-0700, or email for a return authorization number.

Please be sure to use USPS, UPS, or FedEx with Delivery confirmation to be sure that the parcel is delivered safely back to us. We cannot be responsible for any lost or misdirected packages.

*If your order was shipped for free, or with discounted shipping, the actual shipping cost may be deducted from the credit received.

Privacy Policy

The Bear's Den collects certain personal information during account registration and order checkout. This information may include name, address, telephone number, and email address. However, The Bear's Den will never share, give away, or sell your personal information. All information collected by The Bear's Den is used only for order fulfillment and internal marketing purposes.

We use industry standard SSL encryption technology during all exchanges of personal information.

Unclaimed Repairs & Local Pickups

All local pickup orders and items returned from repair must be picked up within 60 days of our initial notification by phone and/or email.

After 60 days, unclaimed items may be restocked or placed on consignment. If an item is sold, any proceeds remaining after applicable repair and/or shipping fees will be mailed to the customer by check.

Items that have been determined by the manufacturer to be unrepairable will be disposed of after 30 days following notification.

Trade-in / Consignment Gear

We will often accept fishable, lightly used rods and reels for trade-in or consignment. All items are subject to inspection and approval by Bear’s Den.

For items placed on consignment, the customer will receive 75% of the final sale proceeds once the item sells.

Customers may choose to receive their payment by: check or store credit (gift certificate) *Please allow up to 30 days for checks to be written and delivered.

If a customer has a large number of items, we may ask that the items be dropped off at the store for evaluation. We will contact the customer within a reasonable timeframe once the evaluation is complete.

Bear’s Den is not responsible for issues that develop after our initial inspection when those issues are caused by the natural aging or degradation of the gear, or by conditions that could not reasonably be identified during our initial examination. Examples may include, but are not limited to, aging adhesives, deteriorated materials, or previously undetectable conditions that result in loose or failing components.

Customers will have 60 days from the date we contact them following our evaluation to respond or pick up their items.

If we do not receive a response and the items are not picked up within 60 days, the items will be considered abandoned. Bear’s Den reserves the right to place abandoned items on consignment.

If an abandoned item is sold, the proceeds, less any applicable fees, will be sent to the customer by check.
