Orvis Helios F Tom Rosenbauer Limited Edition Fly Rod – 9' 4wt

Few individuals have influenced the world of fly fishing quite like Tom Rosenbauer. For five decades, Tom has helped generations of anglers become better fishermen through his writing, teaching, innovation, and unmistakable passion for the sport. To celebrate his remarkable 50-year legacy at Orvis, the company has created something truly special: the Orvis Helios F Tom Rosenbauer Limited Edition Fly Rod.

Limited to just 300 rods, this signature edition is built around Tom's personal favorite Helios configuration, the 9' 4-weight F-series. Known for its exceptional accuracy, feel, and precision, the Helios F is designed for anglers who appreciate delicate presentations, intuitive casting, and the subtle connection between rod, line, and fly that makes trout fishing so rewarding.

What sets this edition apart goes well beyond the blank itself. Tom worked closely with Orvis to personally select the details that define the rod, blending modern Helios performance with the timeless aesthetics of classic fly fishing equipment.

The rod features a beautiful cigar-style cork grip, reminiscent of the iconic Orvis Superfine Graphite rods. This traditional grip profile complements the rod's refined character and provides a comfortable, familiar feel in hand.

The reel seat combines PVD-coated nickel-silver hardware with a stained maple burl spacer, creating a distinctive look that reflects the craftsmanship and tradition of fine fly rods. Each rod is accompanied by a matching stained maple burl wooden rod tube crafted by Wayward Trading Post, along with a heritage-inspired canvas rod sack and a unique rod label commemorating this special edition.

Despite its collectible nature, the Rosenbauer Edition isn't intended simply to sit on display. At its heart is the same high-performance Helios F blank that Tom personally favors, delivering the casting accuracy and feel that have made the Helios series one of Orvis' flagship fly rod platforms.
