Old School Striper Flies

Some patterns earn their place and never lose it. Lou Tabory's Snake Fly and Bob Popovics' Semper Fleye are two of those. Both have been fooling Striped Bass and many other fish for decades, and both still crush it today.
The Snake Fly is Lou Tabory's creation and it is built around a spun or stacked deer hair head that pushes water so a fish can feel the fly from a large distance. The back half of the fly has constant motion built into it. Ostrich, marabou and flash - breathing - swimming - looking alive with the slightest movement and this drives Bass wild.
The Semper Fleye is Bob Popovics' version of the Red & White Hackle Fly or the Seaducer. He wanted to (and he accomplished) taking those flies to the “extreme.” A fly designed with castability, lifelike motion, and flexibility built into it from the hook shank up. You will learn the construction and the small details that make each one work.
These are patterns with real history and real fish behind them, and your Striper box is not complete without them.
