Mike Rice (Mud Dog Flies) Fly Tying Class (Saturday, Nov 14th from 12:30-3:30 (tentative))

 Join us on Saturday, November 14^th for a rare, one-time opportunity to learn from local fly-tying legend Mike Rice of Mud Dog Flies.  In this class, Mike will be instructing on two of his most famous fly patterns; the DC-12 and the Dazzle Bait.  Mike does not tie production flies for shops anymore, and he has never posted any instructional media for them, so this truly may be the last opportunity to learn from the creator himself.  Materials will be provided.  If you have your own vise and tools, please bring it along, but we do have a handful of loaner vises and tool kits on hand.  Mike uses Softex and a fly turner for his patterns, but if you’d prefer to use UV resin then please bring your own, as well as some standard head cement and some basic saltwater-sized threads.
