Hareline Stretchy Fly Skin

The perfect material for nearly all of the modern nymph's needs, Hareline's Stretchy Fly Skin is durable and can be used in many different ways. This clear material is easy to work with and has just the right amount of stretch, plus you can also color it with markers to achieve whatever look you like. We're big fans of using it to wind bodies and then using markers to give a two-toned appearance with a dark back and light underbody. Stretchy Fly Skin comes in a variety of sizes so you can use it for both small and large flies, and whether you're using the material as the back of a scud, a wingcase, or palmering the perfectly segmented body, you're sure to be impressed with the outcome.

This is also the material used by Rich Strolis on his Rock Candy Caddis Larvae. He achieves a darker color by stretching the material when applying a permanent marker.
