a.k.a. Coypu. Similar to muskrat but darker with longer guard hairs. Characterized by dense grayish underfur (very soft and plush) and long glossy guard hairs. The long guard hairs make tail whisks and the fur on the skin can be used for zonker strips. Underfur makes good dubbing for all types of fly.
