We loved fishing Jack Gartside's soft hackle streamers for early and late season striped bass and bluefish. Often outfishing all other flies the easy casting, maximum movement soft hackle steamer was tough to beat. It had the perfect profile and could be fished at any depth any number of ways. What we didn't love was how easily they were destroyed by bluefish or the over aggressive plier removal. So we set out to make something mimicking the profile and castability but also have maximum durability. The EZ minnow does just that. Tied with a stainless steel wire dubbing loop on a premium stainless hook with a hand formed epoxy resin head, the EZ minnow not only looks great in the water, it will last until you lose it.
