TFO Blitz 9 Weight Review By: Mike Roth

I have owned Temple Fork Fly Rods for many years, both 8 and 9 weights. The new Blitz rod has improved hardware all around making it a rock solid choice at its price point. The action is a bit slower than Loomis, Sage or Nam and might be best suited for an angler who is in the earlier stages of his/her saltwater fly fishing career or the experienced angler that spends a lot of time casting intermediate or sinking lines.

The rod is handsome, strong, and could be a great workhorse for those saltwater fish that are feeding under the surface. As with all TFO rods, the Blitz is built with backbone and will allow an angler to put some heat on fish with shoulders. This rod is reliable and solid and comes with the great TFO customer service should the unfortunate thing happen.
